Meet Your Travel Advisor
Now that the formalities are out of the way, you might be wondering who "I" am. Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Terie Overbey, and I am the owner and founder of Verity Luxury Travel. I often get asked where the name Verity came from as it pertains to my agency. The word verity is defined as a true principle or belief, especially one of fundamental importance. And the verity that I believe in, the very cornerstone of my business, is the principle that building a strong and trustworthy partnership with you is more important to me than any sale or paycheck.
I've worked in customer service my entire professional life. I've always strived to not only perform the functions of my role to the best of my ability, but to make sure you leave feeling seen, valued, and understood. It was on a day that I received a "memo" from the higher ups of my 8-5 job that instructed the staff to move customers in and out as quickly as possible, and limit interactions with them to increase "productivity" that I knew I had finally reached a turning point. I don't want to have someone limit my ability to not only perform my dutiesĀ in a way that honors your requests, but to quite literally end the notion of forming a bond with you. I want to be able to see or speak with you and ask you how your husband is liking his new job, if your wife was surprised by the anniversary gift you picked out, or how you dog is getting along with his new groomer. It is the small personal details that form relationships and understandings that enhance our everyday lives.
Aside from my love of travel, I am an avid equestrian. Two of the biggest prides of my life are my Friesian, Rowan, and my rare Fell Pony, Dusty. To round out the trio of boys in my life is my gorgeous and goofy Standard Poodle, Barron. You can follow me on IG @verityluxurytravel and see what me and the boys are up to in our day to day lives!

Why Don't We Have a Brick-and-Mortar Store?
In today's advanced technological society, a brick-and-mortar storefront is no longer a necessity. I want the opportunity to build lasting successful relationships with my clients from anywhere in the world...not just the town I reside in. No costly storefront means I can keep my focus off the bank balance and right where it belongs...on YOU.
